G’ Day Mates! Just wanted to write up a quick update for you about the state of the blog, the majority of which revolves around an early rebranding of my online identity which you currently know me as. As you currently know me, my name is Cameron Levengood, but I have recently made the decision to change this; primarily because that, in fact, is not my real name. My real name is actually Chris Schafer.
A have a couple reasons for revealing this to you: 1.) I had originally begun to work under a pen name to help hide my identity; however I have decided that the extra safety precautions of a secret identity were no longer necessary, and that working under my previous identity no longer made sense. 2.) since my blog is currently in its rather undeveloped infancy, changing this critical element now instead of later only makes sense. If I were to do this with a much more sizable following, it could cause a divide in my base that would result in a sizable portion of my audience abandoning me, at least in theory. I’ll have you know though, I have seldom lied about anything else on this website besides my name, of course. I’m still very much who I said I was in all of my collective works. Really, the only major difference you’ll see in my content from now on is in the greeting: “G’ Day Mates! It’s Cam Lev here!”, will now be: “G’ Day Mates! It’s Chris! Also; I am currently in the process of redesigning my logos and social media profiles, and an and will be going through with the transition after this post goes live. the URL, www.camlevengood.com, will likely remain the same until May when the website subscription renews. As for the content, I would like to officially let you know that I am in the process of creating several new pieces of content that I will begin publishing under my real name over the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, you enjoy them! Thanks for reading up on this short piece, and hopefully you understand my thought process and why I’ll be going through this change. |
